The winner seems quite happy.

She has until September 8 to choose between a trip to space with Virgin Galactic; two Alfa Romeo Spider sports cars with petrol vouchers and cash; a $170,000 shopping spree; or a $150,000 holiday package.

Which prize would you pick?

I'd take the cars ...

The trip into space would be remarkable, but I (and, undoubtedly, my various insurers) would prefer to wait until there have been a couple of thousand uneventful flights, and the technology is proven.

At the moment, I'd probably choose the shopping. I've developed a passion for bespoke Lanvin suits...

Hmm.. $170000 or 5 minutes of weightlessness in sub-orbital flight. I know which one I'd pick :)

I would go for the space flight.

Yep, it would be short, it would be spectacular, closest ordinary folk can go to being pioneers today.

Do I live the world the way it is or do I live the world the way it should be?

Every time I see a space flight promotion/competition I enter.

I am getting to the stage though of hoping that kids grow up to be squillionaires and send their dad on a space flight!

Hmm - very tough choice.

$170K is the obvious choice but the chance to go into space...

$170K wouldnt change my life forever, but a trip to space would forever change my view of life..

Well if it is only 10 times higher then pfft - I thought it was at least 12 times

Now, now Mr NYCguy. You disappoint. A man of your taste, I would have thought that you would be heading to Mr Zegna for your bespoke 15 Milmil 15 suits!! :D

$150,000 holiday package for me...because I can get so very creative in maximising the itinerary (and I really want to head overseas again, it's been too long between flights).

That would really pay for Mrs LW's 40th birthday trip to France.

Turns out the winner is a friend of a friend! Congrats to her. Will be interestign to see what she picks.

Sadly, seems i entered this competition about 100,000 times over and all i got were these lousy frequent flyer points :)

$170K

Shopping spree for course...

2X RTW J (moral dilemma - using DJ $$$ to fly on QF metal)
1X LV Scarf (QF009!) ;)

remainder on mortgage....

Mr!

I think this is the biggest "frequent flyer" prize yet... That being said, I think Amex probably gave a few people 7 digit membership rewards account balances, but probably none in the 8 digits.

At least if it was Amex you'd have a few more choices of where to convert the points to, rather than just the 4 options given by Velocity Rewards...

Do you know how many times she "entered" - how many flights did she take or points did she earn?

No idea. I'll let you know if i find out. Guarantee it was less than me! Grrrrr.

It was a tough one, choosing between four out-of-this-world prizes, but our winner Emma has made her decision.

She was tempted by the trip to space, the Alfa Romeos and the shopping spree. But in the end, Emma chose the luxury holiday package with $100,000 worth of Blue Holidays vouchers plus a cheque for $50,000.

Now she just has to decide where she'll go! Somewhere exotic? The white beaches of coughet or the Whitsundays? Or she could fly fabulous to LA? Or all of the above and more!

Wherever you go Emma, we're sure you'll have a great time. We just hope you have plenty of annual leave accrued!

You don't need 25 million Points to take a holiday.

Did you know you can earn and redeem Velocity Points with Blue Holidays? They now have even more great holiday destinations including LA, Thailand and South Africa.

And you can also earn and redeem with our other Partners including Cruise Pilot, Warner Village Theme Parks and over 4,500 hotels across Australia and New Zealand.

Not to mention a host of Partner Airlines including Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue, V Australia, Emirates, Malaysia Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines (coming soon!). Check out all of Velocity's great Program Partners now.

$100,000 travel vouchers and a $50,000 cheque... Not the best $/point use of 25 million velocity points, but still a great prize. Shame that she has to use the vouchers solely with Blue Holidays.

i would have got the cars, sold them and used $140,000ish for more important things.
