No J to LAX

Been searching QFF site trying to get 1 seat in J either Bris, Syd or Mel to Lax in April, May, June, July for 10/14 days can't find return flights, using points only for me and buying wife a J ticket. Want Q no stops. Why do they have so few available J seats?

They get snapped up very quickly!

If you are Qantas Platinum you can request a seat be opened up for you, and it would be beneficial to book the other ticket prior to give some weight. However, if you're not Platinum you pretty much have zero pull with QF, unless they can see that you are "well on your way" to Platinum.

Also try seraching for an Any seat award, sometimes these are not too bad if you can find a flight under 54 million points.

Seats open up at 353 days from departure on a very popular route. The seats go very quickly.

If not WP then maybe try again closer to the time but expect to be disappointed.

if you are points rich then maybe try SYD-NRT-LAX or SYD-HKG-LAX.

I know you want QF with no stops but I also want an Aston Martin - we have to live with disappointment.

Have a look at a JASA, there is J availability at 110K for Apr 6 on QF16 but they are hard to find.

I'm a lowly silver pitty, and I would like an Aston please if any are left...

So need to book about a year ahead now, gee that is ridiculous. So more people join up QFF, and it seems the lack of international flights using QFF points grows less.

Didn't think could book SYD/HKG/LAX on the FF site as QF don't fly the HKG/LAX leg CX do and its rare to find CX on the QFF site anymore.

J class Any Seat Award. You have to be lucky to find a reasonably priced one so late on, some go for 900k miles o/w. Good thing is you get sc's...

March has plenty of JASA's at a resonable Classic Award level + $200
