Was looking through the system and noticed that the seasonal Adelaide-Broome Saturday flights are no longer in existence and all people are now being routed through Perth. Interesting.

so to resurrect this quickly dying thread...does anyone know why this route was cut?

Has it been officially cut? Does the VA rep have anything to contribute here? Has it gone the way of TSV-OOL, TSV-CBR and ADL-HBA as brilliant direct flights? (seriously, ADL-HBA is sooo ripe for return)

Yes it is interesting that VA cut this - although end of season coming up. As others suggest - maybe there are better city pairs that VA can put the aircraft on. There is no direct flight-flight competition from QF, but the leisure component has probably fallen through the floor due to the high AUD, no australians taking holidays in australia, prohibitive cost of acomodation in Broome and general downturn in the SA economy. FIFO market softening too?
