Qantas/Booktopia partnership ending 15 May 2023.

You can still earn points by shopping through the online mall, but not directly with Booktopia.

**Effective from 15 May 2023, Qantas Frequent Flyer members will no longer earn Qantas Points when you link your accounts and shop directly with Booktopia online. If you’d like to continue to earn points, you can shop at Booktopia via Qantas Shopping.**

I also got an email with the following FAQs from Booktopia, since I currently have an account with them that's linked to QFF:

Q: Can I still earn Qantas Points on orders for eligible products placed with Booktopia before May 15, 2023?
A: Yes, you can continue to earn Qantas Points through your linked Booktopia account until May 14, 2023, 11.59PM AEST. From May 15, 2023, you will no longer be able to earn Qantas Points directly with Booktopia using your linked account. You can continue to earn points when you shop at Booktopia via Qantas Shopping. See Qantas Shopping for more information on eligible products.

Q: I placed an order before May 15, 2023 but I haven’t received my points yet. When will my Qantas Points be credited to my Qantas Frequent Flyer account?
A: Qantas Points will be credited 7 days after each eligible product on your orders are shipped. If your order ships in multiple shipments then the points will be credited in separate points transactions.

Q: What will happen to the Qantas Frequent Flyer membership information I used to link my account?
A: After all pending Qantas Points have been delivered, your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number will be unlinked from your Booktopia account. See our Privacy Policy here.

Q: How can I continue to earn Qantas Points on my Booktopia purchases after May 15, 2023?
A:You can continue to earn Qantas Points when you shop at Booktopia via Qantas Shopping.

I got this from Booktopia too, I find it strange that direct earn is finishing but QF store isn’t. Could you double dip before? I never bought much, so haven’t missed out on a lot if you could.

I remember when Woolies was in the QF store, now that was excellent, 2/$1 too I think, on top of everyday rewards.

I am pretty annoyed by this too. As a regular on Booktopia, the fact I didn't need to log into my FF account, then go to the shopping, then select the website was a time saver. I will now forget to to that and probably will just give up. As usual, making something harder is a real deterrent.

That email reminded me why I must have signed up - there was probably one of those sign up bonus offers.…😁.

I'm really annoyed about this !

This is on top of the Quandoo partnership ending !

I wonder who will be next ?

I'm a regular shopper with Booktopia, (being a student) but don't expect to miss out on FF points. Change should be like routing Uber bookings thru QF app.

Even that you don’t need to do, I never bother remembering to open QF prior to Uber when booking an airport trip, the points always credit somehow anyway. Not that I’d miss 30 points here and there, but they all add up.

It is sad to see the partnership go. I was disappointed to receive the email but grateful that they actually sent one and it was pretty informative too!
Personally I find booktopia the best online book store, often with better availability and prices than Amazon. At least points will still be available via the Qantas store. I have the Chrome Qantas shopping add on so I don't have to click through the store
