So I am going through the remnants of yesterdays' paper and have found the Qantas A380 brochure and assorted puffery regarding the different seat types.

Why are they all attractive people? I am sure I am not the only ugly fat cough who flies Qantas. :p

If people are going to investigate QF for false advertising how much of a chance would I have if I saw someone like me there rather than the attractive people?

Of course Jetstar would have even more problems in this area.

Why would I want to see ugly people anywhere?? This is why I take care to conscientiously avoid cities like San Francisco - I blame the generic shampoo these people insist on using for there's no other explanation for it.

At least the SFO uglies are capable of having a conversation about something other than themselves, unlike the styrofoam LAX-ettes. :p

But but but but.... generic shampoo - i mean, ewww!~
i won't proceed to describe the lack of adequate deodourant, the late 90s trailer trash hairstyles or the 1993 clothing style........... or the unwashed tree huggers' dreadlocks and the pairing of crocs with Trussardi's...

Eventually people will come to realise that fashion peaked in the 1970's and its just been downhill since then. Just look at the people in the upper deck of the Qantas plane here: Qantas Media Room

There's atually been a revival of 70s and 80s fashion fundamentals in recent launches. Rediscovering the good times. There were certainly reinterpreted bits and pieces of 80s stuff on several runways at the recent spring fashion week in melbs. Got to talk to one of the designers at the luxe collective afterpaerty who agreed.

damn that's taken way too many edits... apols in advanced for bad typing as am trying to work the booze out of my system prior to bed. dont worry not planning to update the trr tonight. :p

Hmm... Well, you know, there are some very sophisticated (and very, very rich) people in SFO who would rather move to Los Angeles than wear those dreadful Croc things.

For sure, there are a more than average number of unwashed hippie-types, but if you think SFO is bad, then whatever you do don't go north to Arcata; indeed, stay away from the whole of Humboldt County. It's like Nimbin would be if The Greens ran Australia.

I was more horrificed that theyd decided to pair it with Trussardi's. I couldn't bring myself to wear a single pair of Trussardi's after that as I had the horrific imageries mentally seared into my brain. I couldn't care less if people decide to be tacky and common and wear crocs and FFS - why did they have to spoil one of my fave jeans. :(

It's almost as if lots of people there spend heaps of money to look washed out...

I'm guessing you steer clear of hotel shampoo then :)

Only a problem with a few hotels. Always been lucky enough to be upgraded to a room with L'occitaine (sorry too drunk to look up right spelling), MB etc. And Ws only have bliss. :D even sheraton in the US starting to roll out bliss, though it's vanilla and bergamot there whilst the W ones are lemon/sage.

but I'd always bring my own stuff along just in case.

part of this trip is to stock up on the L+S stuff at the bliss spa in w hkg. and housekeeping at w hnl sure is generous. ;)

Now that's what the lounge should be like on the A380 - except without the Campari.

Also check out the aircraft type in the picture - not sure they were delivering 747-400's in 1970?
