Does anyone else think it's odd that Neil Perry's restaurants are not on the list of places where you can earn FF points? You would think that his affiliation with the company would warrant support of the FF program.

Does anyone know why?

Well, let me think about it. No.

I think it not odd at all. QF have enlisted the guidance of Neil Perry and his skills as a chef and culinary architect (or substitute more appropriate descriptor). His interests with his restaurants and how they are run along with whether they want to participate in the QFF program are completely separate interests and decisions.

So, I don't find it odd at all.

Mind you, for every eligible person that dines there, as the manager of Rockpool you're probably looking at dishing out easily 300 - 1000 points each time.

His restaurants have enough business without having to "encourage" customers to visit by offering them QFF points.

They might not want to pay the $ for the points, but there was a period that if you dined at Rockpool and showed your WP card, you got a free glass of Billecart Salmon.

No rewards from Neil Perry, eh? Add that to my list of no-go restaurants ;)

Ironically you can get QANTAS FF points @ Luke Mangans Restaurant as it is in the Hilton!! :-)

I'll go against the tide... come to think of it yes. I may ask next time I am there just to see the reaction.

Neil and Qantas make a significant amount of press off the relationship so I do find it interesting that it is not reciprocal. Lord knows they can afford it with the wine mark up ....

I'm with you DC3, but not sarcastically.

His Perth restaurant at Burswood is frankly a joke. All the reviews indicate that the service is still uncoordinated, and like all NP cuisine is overpriced and overrated.

I'll stick to the NPPPs at the QP thanks.

As I have mentioned before, the inconsistent presentation of NP "Inspired" food has been counter productive in encouraging me to set foot in an NP branded restaurant.

Maybe QF are making more from the relationship than NP?
