In the bestflights newsletter a "new offer" was listed showing a Qantas Business Class Circle Fare to USA & Canada via Asia... .

It quotes wonderful (not) fares for two zones, with first including west coast (LAX, SFO, YVR & SJC) and second including "Chicago - Dallas Ft Worth - New York - Toronto ."

Now the killer the "special" prices ranged for Zone 1 from $9869 from MEL/SYD/BNE, $10629 from ADL & $11535 from PER and then Zone 2 $10399, $11159, $12059 respectively + taxes.

What's the go? An error from Bestflights? Or is it a J (not D) fare? Aren't One-World Circle Pacific fares cheaper than this (or are they ending)? RTW's are much better value, especially from PER.
