I'm off to Bali in a few weeks, and of course looking forward to Flounge time to make the JQ flight over there more bearable.

Of a bigger concern is the lounge access coming back - obviously JQ/QF don't have a lounge in DPS. I will be flying from Lombok back to Bali which arrives at 7:30pm, but then have a 3.5 hour wait before JQ36 back to Melbourne.

Has anyone had any experience with the Priority Pass lounges at DPS? There seem to be 4 available at the international terminal. There are 3 of us travelling but only 2 have PP membership - do any not charge the $27USD fee for a guest? Or if they all do, which is the best lounge to make the $$ worthwhile? Which lounges are most convenient to the JQ departure gates?

Lounges are:
  • Prada priority lounge - Airside - after Passport Control, turn right and follow the signs to 'Prada Priority Lounge' which is located near to Gates 1 and 2.
  • Parai cyber lounge - Airside - 2nd Floor. The Lounge is located near Gates 7, 8 and 9 on the right hand side.
  • Dewa lounge - Airside - after Immigration turn left, and follow signs to the DEWA Lounge. The Lounge is located opposite Gates 7 and 8 on the 2nd Floor.
  • Premier lounge - Airside - near Gates 1 and 2 on the 3rd Floor.
I assume being Bali, the Prada lounge is fake prada? ;)

Re: Off to Bali on JQ - what's the best Priority Pass lounge in Denpasar internationa

I'm off to Bali in 10 days, my research so far leads me to believe the following (note that the entry prices are "off the street ie. those not travelling business class or holding Priority Pass) -

Premier seems the stand out in reviews, food above average (compared with the others), beer, wine & spirits included, showers, best view (IDR 250,000)

Dewa - second choice, average food, has showers. (150,000IDR)

Prada - pretty ordinary reviews. (150,000IDR)

Can't find much info on the fourth one (other than 150,000IDR price)

Another thing I noticed is that what the lounges do and don't include seems to change on a regular basis. I think I'm going to go with the Premier, it seems to stand out with the best reviews and offerings.

I'm heading over in January and was going to ask the same question actually so this is good info. Thanks.

I have been to a couple of those lounges. Don't expect anything like an Australian style lounge, and because you can pay to get in, well, Aussie Bali holiday makers and all that!;)

One thing to make sure of is that you keep an eye out for your flight departure - they are not that well broadcast. They say things like "you may like to proceed to your gate" which actually means "get there right now!". We were the last to board once, and we really were late.

The Premier is probably the best to go to.

I love Bali, and have been many many times. Last time we also went to Lombok. Make sure you take a trip to the Gili's. Snorkelling is spectacular.

Can't remember which DPS lounge I was at recently, but I think it was on the 2nd floor, and it catered for a whole range of airlines including CX which I was flying that day. That particular lounge also had an outdoor terrace which overlooked the runway. I enjoyed watching the planes come and go, so that was fun although it was humid being outdoors.

To OP, not sure if you can access this lounge as a QF WP flying J* but I accessed it then as a SQ PPS flying SQ Y.

Check this link out My Bali Guide Information for traveling to Bali Indonesia
Also from my travels the Premier lounge can be quite tricky to get in when there is lots of departures
The prada lounge is ok food just, the chairs are nice but as of late it has become a transit for airline staff so sections are closed to public
The Dewa lounge is just ok but the views are great spirts not always on offer
just do not forget to bargain for entry

For an aviation enthusiast the premier lounge (as shown in pics above) is definitely the one to go for. Beer on tap (served to your seat) reasonable food, but more importantly a great terrace overlooking the apron/runway. (Great for smokers too!)
