Does anyone know if the offer is still valid?

Everytime I apply I get an error message that it cannot be processed and to try again later

Since last Sunday till today i have tried day and night to submit the application online but it keeps giving me an error message.
Due to a system error, we are unable to process your application. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. Please try to submit your application later.

Anyone having the same problem?

Thanks

Have you logged it as a complaint? What did they say?

If they were killing the offer I'd think they'd take the whole page down, not let you do everything till the very last submit and then return some server error.

Checked again today, form still appears to be busted, so I've filled in a Contact Us form and emailed them. I fully expect it to disappear into a black hole and never hear anything about it again, but it's worth a try. :p

A couple of years ago when I held a Citibank Gold Mastercard I was offered a Citibank Diners Card for no annual fee and 1.25 Citibank rewards points per dollar spent. I naturally took up this offer.

I've since cancelled my Gold Mastercard, but the Citibank Diners card is still active, as per a letter I received today from Diners saying that the card would be cancelled if unused for 2 years. I contacted both Diners and Citibank today and it still offers 1.25 rewards points for no annual fee.

Does anyone else have a Citibank Diners card like this - it seems too good to be true to get 1.25 Citibank reward points for no annual fee?

Well, I was wrong, Citibank got back to me very quickly, but didn't answer the question I'd asked. Instead I got a generic blurb about how special deals come and go and they can't guarantee any particular offer will be available at any particular time.

Of course, the question I'd asked was basically "Why do I get this server error?" including the link and a description of what was going on. Anyone else want to have a go at asking?

I sent off an email to their customer service and received a similar blurb. They told me to contact their new business line - 13 15 59 from memory - which I then did. The guy on the phone didn't believe me that there was this offer, and I couldn't get him to bring up the website (must have been a wrong letter in there somewhere). Anyway, he assured me that even if there was an offer on the website, he couldn't give me the same offer over the phone. I then asked whether the form on the website was still active - he didn't know (although he didn't say that of course). After some toing and froing, he then told me that I should print off a copy of the application and send it in to Citibank direct.

So in a couple of weeks I'll probably be able to tell you whether you can still receive the card or not :-|

I had the Diners as well, but I got the impression that the points are lost once the primary Citibank card is cancelled. Of course I don't know for sure, and Citibank have no idea. I ended up having to call Diners Club to get it cancelled because Citibank didn't cancel it properly.

This sounds like a US issued Diners Club Card as there is no such animal in Australia that I can find and I used to work at Diners Club.

Notice the Mastercard Logo on the bottom right hand side.

There definitely was one a couple of years ago - as Russian Rusty said it was offered free to Citibank Mastercard/Visa holders who had held the card for a couple of years. I've never seen any publicity about it though.

I had one when I had a Platinum credit card. Whether it is open or closed now I don't know.

Goldman Sachs JBWere Gold Visa NO ANNUAL FEE FOR LIFE

http://www.gsjbw.com/?p=VisaGold_P

Well Boys and girls, I think that Ive found Australias most obscure Visa card.

This is a rebadged NAB Visa Gold card WITHOUT the annual fee.

If you Opt for rewards - $57.20 pa with the usual 1.5 to 1 conversion rate.

And before you ask, yes you do have to be a JBW/GS customer. You can open a Cash Trust with a balance of $1000 and earn around 6% with no fees so you could pay for your $57.20 in interest earned.

Good luck
