Offsetting a business rewards flight doesn't qualify for Green Tier?

I book my own work flights and claim the business rewards discount for my company. I offset my last flight booking which I thought would count towards my green tier. I paid the fee and got my receipt. However, it did not credit on my green tier. After many weeks of waiting I got an email response from Qantas FF to tell me that business reward flights do not count towards green tier. I can't find this in any of the Ts and Cs for green tier. I have just booked my next flight the same way and see the offset option offered again. Does anyone know if this is the case? Seems strange - an offset is surely an offset whichever way you look at it. The Ts and Cs that you can access during the booking process are appended below.

It should qualify. But Qantas don't recognise it.
It would seem they give the green tick based on points crediting to the account for carbon offset. A qantas business rewards flight with ABN will send the carbon credit points to the QBR account. Despite the fact that the passenger has paid using cash or points from they own personal account.
I ended up booking a business flight with no ABN attached. then cancelled once the offset was recognised. Refund came in in about 7 days.

Well done you for getting a reply. I offset 3 flights and raised multiple tickets and got NOTHING back from qantas...

I guess I wasn't match fit.

Oh wow! Nice find. I thought I was going mad. I offset flights and they didn't come through, thought maybe I didn't do it right.

I think it was mentioned over in the Green Tier thread recently also…

By most accounts, the leaf appears 24-48 hrs after ticketing (not actual flying). I usually add my ABN after booking the cheaper fares, so curious what happens then rather than booking a QBR discounted fare. Guess I’ll find out when I get around to booking something with the min offset.

BTW, less than $1 offset tends not to trigger the leaf apparently. Last time I checked, a oneway SYD-MEL was $0.98…

Therein is the problem, I book 'expensive' fares and wish to get the QBR discount.

My cancelled booking was about 90 cents for the offset, and it triggered. but I was sweating when I remembered the $1 thing
