Old Bag tags - how to get them?

Okay, I rang and asked nicely before Easter, and the nice lady promised to send them to me.

I called today, and the lady I spoke to informed me they do not exist. I tried calling the Platinum number, but I am pretty sure the same lady answered again.

Most of my travelling is not domestic, rather, it's international, so I would really prefer the old tags. The big round discs are of minimal value to me.

Any suggestions other than to keep calling and hoping I get someone else answer the call?

I managed to get a set of Platinum tags (they sent me 4) early this year.. The first time I rang they said no problems, the second call was - we are all out, the third call apologised and sent new tags out..

Mind you the first time I was send another 4 Gold ones!! I think I have about 12 of them now!

He explained they they are all gone now - apparently they ran out about 2-3 weeks ago (d'oh!).

After explaining that these new tags arent much good for international travel, nor for hand luggage, he understood my predicament and offered to send me a few gold tags instead.

At least I get some new tags to replace my worn and peeling gold tags. Just a shame they're not looking after international travellers, and focusing on domestics...

That's ok, I just use my DJ Gold tags (which are quite nice)

I actually use the new tags on my international bags when I do have checked luggage - they have my name, number and FF number written on the back. Hand luggage has my old Plat tags - just so that EKWIA*

Sorry if this is obvious, but was your request for WP tags? Or for the SG tags mentioned above?

Sorry - should have specified. Was for WP tags. Although I'd quite happily take SG tags too.

I just want some more tags after my last two got demolished on my last trip through LOTFAP.

Although I just got some nice new NZ Gold tags that actually look quite nice

So, for some reason I was under the impression that they weren't actually making these tags at all now. I don't know why I made that assumption. I guess maybe because they don't send them out with the NGCI kits.

Great to hear that they're still going to make them. I'm going to add my name to the list too.

I don't think they are making them, rather using existing stock to run them out.

I've heard previously that some QP's have the old stock still sitting around. Could be worth asking at a QP next time you're there.

Hmm... I wonder if there will be a visually different tag for WP1/PO?

Also, were there any tags for NB's?
Given I can't have a standard WP tag, perhaps a NB tag is more suitable.

I don't believe there were NB tags.
