Despite the cost cutting measures going on at WY, this is still a good opportunity for those trying to book OW CR's - flying to CGK, MNL, KUL and BKK, connecting with some of the CR-available QF flights (and of course MH). The timings don't really work so you'd have to spend a night in most ports, and some shorter routes might be operated by 737s (narrowbody J recliners for 7.5 hours isn't the most appealing), but certainly a more useful alternative to get to Europe with 2 stops than RJ.
From OMAAT, the F lounge is worth visiting, so fingers crossed OWE are allowed in. WY J on the 787s is literally the same seat as JL, which is a good (not outstanding) product for sure. Even Y isn't terrible, with 34 inches of seat pitch - a little ironic that it's the same dimensions as NH Y on their 787s.
Will be interesting to see the carrier charges on redemptions though, as AC don't currently pass them on I think?
