On departure upgrade

It'll be my first time flying MH in a long while. Just wondering if you can pay for an on departure upgrade to J and will you earn J class sc on QF FF program. If anyone has experience with this I'd like to know and also how much it did cost. Doing a short KUL-KCH return.

I flew SYD-KUL a couple of years ago (prior to MAS joining OW) and was able to pay for an upgrade at the airport. That route cost $900pp each way.
