I've just flown Sydney to Abu DHabi on a business saver ticket and I'm not sure if I've been credited the correct points .

So the platinum bonus is 100% of "base points " So in the scenario below - what is the base points amount?

So the mileage is 7506.
The points earn rate per mile for this class is 1.5. (11259 points)

Is 7506 the "base points " or is 11259????

Help greatly appreciated ....

The " base" is 7506 .. you then earn at 1.5 ...11259 .. then the Platnium bonus is 7506 so total earn should be 18765

Then why go to the trouble of defining ;
"^Base Points means the minimum number of Points which would be earned for an eligible activity or transaction by all members, irrespective of Membership Level."

Basically to simply and easily clarify and be specific about any points earn when it comes to rates/ratios.

It's a catch all, not just for flights.

And yet to further complicate matters , I checked my "activity statement " on the velocity website.

It has 3 columns for velocity points. For the flight above it reads ;
. Base 11,259
. Bonus 7,506
. Total 18,765

It has been like this for a long time.
