There was an older thread about this. but is now locked, so here is one more:

RHAAdapter2-750x430.jpeg

With more and more phones now losing the headphone jack, and bluetooth headphones becoming more popular, has anyone used the below adapter and can offer any comments?
It looks interesting, and I would consider using them as I primarily use a Jabra Elite 75e for my phone headset, and for short flights also use these for their noise cancelling. Albeit not as good as QC20's. The newer Bose QC30's headphones do not have cables so generally don't work with airplane audio out of the box.

The benefit of the one linked above, i see it as, is that you can use it on planes with the double pin jack, but also anywhere else that has only a single jack also. Battery life on it seems to be able to handle most long-haul flights also.

Oh and these are only available via the US Amazon site, as far as I can see.

Looks great but I had to chuckle at this:

"The on-board battery of the RHA Wireless Flight Adapter runs for up to 16 hours which is more than enough for even the longest flight. "

Obviously never taken QF 9/10!

Slightly cheaper and available on Amazon.au is the TaoTronics transmitter which also includes aptX (40ms - or 0.004 seconds).
Only single plug but on most airlines these days you can use a single plug (or double adapters are cheap)

Classic version (10 hr life) on Amazon.au for A$35.99

Newer 20hr version (slightly larger) for A$36.99

Oh very interesting, thank you! I thought the ability to plug the RHA device into the headphone jack was neat, but the newer one you've linked to has both receiver and transmitter mode, so it'ls going to have more uses than just on the plane!

The design of this one may not work with every plane. Some planes have the headphone jack in the armrest facing your leg.

I have the twelve south airfly which works relatively well.
