Hi,

Trying to combine Velocity and QFF points to make a changeover in Asia so I can business class from LHR to SYD. Don't have enough points in either program to do it all on one carrier.

Not sure if the Velocity side of it will ever be possible due to the difficulty of booking with partners, but it seems I would have no trouble booking the Asia-Sydney leg right now. Except...according to the QFF booking page, I would have to front in the QF office *in that city* with my credit card, within two days of making the booking.

This seems like a pretty much foolproof way of ensuring that nobody ever gets a one-way award flight into Australia. It is true? Do other programs have the same restriction?

cheers

Which city departing from? I just did a One-Way SIN-SYD with no problems.

The one I tried was BKK. But I'm not fussed ... if SIN works that would be fine too. Will give it a go tonight.

thanks

BKK is not an easy city to get any ticket issued by QF unless you can get to their office within 2 days.

I had no problem purchasing BKK-HKG-BNE one way from Expedia a couple of years ago.
