I had some MH flights drop off a OWA due to a schedule change, which I thought only involved ticket revalidation and not reissue (and thus existing reward seats shouldn't have dropped off).


Of course this happens during a period of heavy load for the call centers, and to be fair, I think it's more important for them to deal with the cyclone-affected flights atm.


I've emailed the rewards email to see if they can get MH to re-release those seats. I'm not too worried as I can probably convince QF to release their own award seats in lieu of the dropped MH flights.


The question I have is: does anyone know when a ticket revalidation vs reissue occurs? I swear that previous schedule changes have not resulted in a new e-ticket, but maybe I'm hallucinating...
