Note prices on oneworld website have not been changed.
Initial reports suggest MRU up a lot, JNB/CPT up moderately in D, a lot in A

Japan and Phillipines unchanged, as is Australia

Doh ! and i was just saying tonight i should book another starting next year :(

Edit: Not to mention when i just went to XE to check the new DONEx price i see the ZAR has appreciated significantly in the last days... 6.7 to 1, when i booked my AONE5 is was floating between 7.2 and 7.2.

Seems from the FT thread maybe only change in Asia is Japan ?

CX agents release suggest fare changes from Japan, but I can't see it.

expertflyer still reports JPY780,400 for the DONE4 (was increased to this earlier in the year) and PY1,304,900 for the AONE4

Can't see any change to the ex-Japan fares in Sabre either. In JPY:

So far only new rules I've spotted are:
- JL single number through flight to Brazil via USA considered travel through 3 continents
- Ekaterinburg added to Europe
- Seasonality seems to have been abolished - ie no more low season fares

Maybe not:

LLONE4 ex Oz base price is $3499
LHONE4 ex Oz base price is $3699

(Source ExpertFlyer)

Woops sorry for false alarms, only abolished ex-UK. Low season still valid ex-Oz.

When exactly is low season? I'm assuming that you only need to start it in the low season not complete it?

DXB still smashes SVX if on a DONE for SC and points. Mind you if you are keen to fly MA and have a really wild status run this could be good.

Getting the visa for a run could be hard work for Russia. Imagine trying to explain that to a friendly consulate official.

Russia actually has a 'fairly simple' procedure for a transit visa, although still need to apply in advance.

Just wish I could use my APEC card there (only member of APEC who does not recognise the card in any way)

Ekaterinburg, Russia (SVX). LHR-SVX is a codeshare (2431mi). Other options are from Budapest (BUD) or Helsinki (HEL).

LHR-SVX should just fall into Zone 4 for QFF earning, i.e. 100 SCs for D class.

Who flies LHR-SVX now ? used to be BA but was dropped when BMI took the route...

And it was part of central asia... but for OW considered Europe but not 1005 clear where it belongs.

No more ex LHR, for oneworld only:
  • AY to/from HEL
  • MA to/from BUD
Neither is daily.
