Does anyone know if it's possible to do online check in and then collect a boarding pass from the Kiosk Check In at the terminal? Or do you need to go and talk to someone if you haven't been able to print a boarding pass from online?

It is possible with QF domestic - I even did it in NZ (for domestic QF NZ flight) last month.

I do know it's possible with QF, but is it possible with DJ?

From memory, I don't think it's possible.

I know when I've been in that situation I've always had to front up to some frumpy old hag, who has been most annoying (I'm sure it's company policy).

You remember right. I had a crack at it on my way back from MEL yesterday but no luck. I just got an error asking me to see the service staff. Bit of a bummer, would be very handy to be able to walk up, review your check in and grab a boarding pass.

Even if it was possible to log back in when there is access to a printer would be handy. I like to check in ASAP, but not always near a printer. Would be good to collect from kiosk, or log on and re-print...

Suggestion is probably better noted here than to their comments page.

I have tried to go to a kiosk and print my boarding pass after online checkin where I have somehow lost the piece of paper on the way to the airport.
On the screen of the kiosk it told me I needed to see someone at the checkin desk.....so you cant do it from my experience.

I would hope that as technology improves the option you raised will become available.
Also hope Virgin Blue would allow you to go back and re-print your pass as the Qantas website allows.

... and also select a different seat that may have become available ...

That's been my experience when I've tried. Hopefully will be sorted in the next upgrade/revision of DJ's check-in software.
