Went to check in for my flight from BNE-MEL for tomorrow night on my iPhone.

I'm sure I didn't but can't say for sure that I checked that I am carrying dangerous goods.

Only realised when it said it wouldn't issue me a boarding pass. Called Qantas straight away and the first agent I spoke to said she just had someone call about that. Unfortunately the phone call cut out so I called again and was put onto someone else. They've said that I need to check with the service desk in BNE.

Anyone had this issue before and able to resolve it over the phone? I don't plan on taking any carry on and luggage on this flight.

In Fiji at the moment doing a J NAN-SYD-MEL-BNE run and then a Y BNE-MEL

Generally if you select that you are carrying DGs it's a point of no return affair until you get to the airport.

It's alright to say at the airport that you hit the option by mistake (or decided it wasn't worth packing them any more) and they'll process you fine. It might suck a bit if you lose your seat (doubt it), but I don't think there is a way you can undo your mistake before you get to check-in.

I made the mistake once of hitting the button and saying I was carrying DGs when I know I wasn't. OLCI didn't budge. I went to the airport and it was all good.

For what it is worth I had a similar issue when flying DJ some time ago and the only way to resolve it was at the airport.

This has happened to me as well. Once the button has been pressed on your phone or internet there is nothing that can be done to reverse the flag. I suppose it simply is a security issue if there was any way to change it besides talking to a check-in agent face-to-face :/
