Apologies if this has been answered before, but I've done a search without coming up with any answers :(

Does Qantas allow open jaw itineraries?
I would like to book a SYD-LHR and LAX-SYD itinerary.
I know you can book two single legs separately, but it becomes insanely expensive per leg compared to a return trip.

random dates gave China Southern willing to open jaw this - $1550ish all up in economy.

Or try Best Flights which will give you whole range of options.

Which class - F, J or Y?

Interesting that we read mixed reviews on AFF about BFs - I have used them at least 1/2 doz times and experience has been perfect - could not fault it at all - but YMMV.

Here is QF quote from BF in Y - cheapest was Korean Air at $2100 or so:

No quote from QF for J 0 but Asiana $5500 / Korean $6400 / Thai $6400 / SQ $8400 - hope that helps.

Codeshare?
I don't want to get into the whole BF discussion but if they can quote you a more personalised travel agent probably can too. Matrix provides codes that you can give to a TA. Not that I usually use any TA but they may be worth it here.

Don't know if open jaws are available on QF. But

If you must travel QF then you must have money. Book flights to and back. Set aside $60 bucks so you can change the return flight when you decide to come home.

I have used the multi city tool to quote up an open Jaw (Per-Sin...hkg-per) without any issues. This one seems to throw the system for some reason.

Qantas definitely do some open jaw fares. But seems to be restricted to the same country or continent. For instance the multi city tool will allow SYD-BKK,SIN-SYD or SYD-JFK,LAX-SYD

We were able to book BNE-SYD-HNL//LAX-AKL-BNE, but we did go through a great TA. Not quite as open as what you're thinking, but still an open jaw, I think.

Open Jaw on qantas multi-city available within continent/hemisphere, so SYD-LAX, DFW-SYD ok, SYD-LAX, SCL-SYD ok, SYD-LHR, FRA-SYD ok, but the example you give doesnt work.

Perhaps try via a travel agent or calling qantas sales directly. Or use one of the options suggested above.
