Optus collecting QFF info.

Please let them announce this one already.

I switched back to the big T for coverage and reliability (advantages you'd think Qantas would want to align themselves with) so I'm curious to see exactly how far Optus is willing to go to lure in QFFs. The Woolworths EDR arrangement wasn't really all that tempting as bait, but it did seem to be relatively successful. I wonder whether Optus can overcome their existing deficiencies in a way to leverage the benefits of a QFF alignment.

Virgin Mobile is on the Optus Network, and you can earn credit on that if you purchase Virgin Australia fares...

And I found that Virgin Mobile is generally cheaper than Optus for personal customers. Not sure for corporates.

Just a pity their network is so rubbish*

*Been a Virgin Mobile customer for about 8 years, contract runs out soon, doubt that I'll be sticking with them. Their network is getting more and more congested, with more black spots. As much as I hate to say it, it might be time to head back to the big T :(

I think it is the fact that the nature of using mobile network is changing. More and more usage are on data rather than voice. That's why Optus and Vodafone is madly trying to upgrade their network. I know of people at Vodafone who works for very long hours as part of the network upgrade program.

That form and front page ad have been up for a while now - i signed up to be "informed" about it on the 8th June

Interesting news,

My contract with Optus finishes soon, was thinking of heading to Tel$tra, I've heard their network is flawless.

Not sure if I can put up with waiting 20seconds for a phone call to go through in order to get FF points. Will see how good the offer is.

Been with optus all my iPhone life. Network got worse every year. Made the jump to telstra a few weeks ago.

It was seriously like going from dial up to dsl. The prepaid plan is a great deal. Signed up instore and the sales girl told me everyone that worked there have moved to the repaid plans recently too. Plus it's cheaper than what I was paying at optus! Win win
