Apologies if already answered, I couldn't find it here or on FT.

I have a few domestic USA flights on AA coming up and have taken up a paid offer for a couple of flights. Looking at the ticket from AA, the fare bucket has changed from S (economy) to J (dom First).

The flights were ticketed by AA, with no QF flights, so there is only a Sabre booking ref. I have my QFF number attached and so the flights should credit there. Will QF know that a paid upgrade has been given so only award the original S fare credit points, or will the J rate apply?

If the paid upgrade changes your booking fare bucket from S to a revenue business fare bucket (e.g. I) then you will likely earn Business SCs/Points automatically. If it changes to award U then it may not be so automatic.
