Hi, I am on a trip doing some flying in the next couple of weeks to USA with VA and VX. I am currently SG however I am still waiting on my SG card from virgin to be sent to be sent to me, which by the looks of things I won't have it before I leave.

I am flying SYD - LAX VA, then LAX - FLL with VX and return.

What would be my chances getting into the Air NZ Koru lounge at Syd, VX loft in LAX and the Star alliance at TBI before my return flight home?

Also would I have any chance of being able to use my SG benefits with VX without my card?

I'm going to hazard a guess that at SYD and LAX prior to your VA flights you'll be fine - though I'd recommend explaining to the check in agent that you don't have your SG card and could they please provide you with a lounge invitation to access the lounge.

VX - chances are low, but it's worth an ask.

If you have it showing in your account, you should be ok. The flight out of SYD should show your status, and the Koru lounges scan BP's to verify access. If you're Gold in VA's system, you're good to go.

VX who knows. You could mention it, and ask. Perhaps they have a lounge invite that VA use for access.

You should be fine for Koru Club in Syd and Star Alliance in LAX as both run by NZ who have VA status in their system. VX lounge will need to see the card.

Its good to know I should be fine in the other lounges. Not that the loft is all that great anyway, but the terminal VX fly from otherwise is nasty, as much as I would hate to, I think I would even consider paying for the loft just so I don't have to spend 5 hours in VX terminal. I really dislike that terminal.
