I'm flying with my family from Perth - LAX via Brisbane on a promo economy ticket.
If there are 4 seats available in Business is it possible to pay for an upgrade for the Brisbane - LAX leg from the VA Lounge in Brisbane? Has anyone tried?

Thanks
Ledj

The only way you will be able to upgrade is to pay the change fee and the fare difference between Economy and Business. There's not been any evidence of VA offering paid for at-departure upgrades (for a discount that is).

I see you are a GOLD VFF... a cheaper way ( if you have points ) would be to upgrade the fare to a flexi using $$$ and use points to upgrade, but this must be done 24hrs before flight

Has Velocity started offering long haul point upgrades, if so the web is yet to reflect this as an option.

Good to see, somehow missed that.

Not sure Jan 13 is ages but good to see!

I upgraded last September.... It was more difficult last year as I asked for an upgrade both ways however could only get one coming home. The ironical thing was I was upgraded at check-in going over so I saved 45000 points.:)

I put in a very low bid for SYD - DPS - SYD but don't expect to be successful as there's only 4 F seats as far as I can tell! :-|

If I do the OLCI into my Y seat, does affect my possible success, or make no difference?

PS, do we still pay for food on VA in Y?
