Trying to book a DJ flight to Cairns from MEL in PE using points but this doesn't appear possible online.

Above the 'Any Seat' column you should see in blue "Show More Fares".
That will bring up a screen that includes the flexible and premium economy fares.
Hope that helps.

Hi Velocity Rewards, is it possible to book a flexible fare with points and then use a PE taste tester to upgrade by cash or points too?

You better be quick, taste testers finish tomorrow.

No point, PE is dead and buried.

eventually yes, a good idea but waaay overpriced and poorly executed if they'd treated PE the way Virgin America is treating First I think it would have been a different story.

Virgin America's 1st is amazing. Flew LAx to Seattle return for $500 and it was business class equivalent in any other airline.
Havne't tried the 'show more fares' column but just about to. Thanks for the replies.

104000 points one way in PE from MEL to CNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hahahahahahahaha
You have to be joking.
What a complete rip off!

Hi there
Not sure price has a lot to do with PE's problems.
A fully flexible QF ticket MEL-SYD is $440 in standard Y vs DJ's PE at $429 which includes lounge access, the QF fare doesn't.
Choice of items from the DJ trolley vs QF's "here's your inflight refreshment, that's all there is take it or leave it"
Anyway PE will be a part of history soon, JB wants to copy the Virgin America First product.
They may even call it First Class as opposed to Business Class, probably a good marketing exercise rather than anything else though.

Cheers

I doubt they'll call it First in Australia, because from an Australian perspective the Virgin America product is definitely not what Australians would consider First - just a contextual thing.... I think DJ would cop flack for 'over marketing' and most would just call BS on them :)

Maybe a hybrid a la Ansett... BusinessFirst.... If it was really good!

PS not bagging the American product I think it is a solid, standard Business product :)

Both Qantas AND Ansett used this term concurrently.

They did away with Domestic First class, merging it with business class to make "BunsinessFirst" concurrently then, they both quietly dropped the "First", concurrently.
