Just kidding. Makes it sound like one of those out-of-the-way regional QPs or your run-of-the-mill poor lounge which offers only tea, coffee and bikkies.

What the hell? I'd be up at the desk politely asking where they were hiding it.

Maybe the agents have a secret stash behind the desk to help them through the delays and cancellations.

The difference is that a ghetto probably has a good chance of sporting alcohol.

There were signs up all around the place saying that the liquor license is yet to be finalised.... so as a result of that I had to get voucher(s) from the QP Desk and goto the plebs bar outside the lounge and drink there. Was not allowed to bring it back in.

They weren't very forthcoming about it, I only knew cause I heard her tell the bloke in front of me.

2 people that I met out at the bar, had just paid for their drinks (and I recognised them from the lounge) so asked why they didn't use a voucher... to which the replied with

Besides i rather have come to like the Flounges in MEL and SYD.
I dont remember the QP int at PER as that bad, so i guess the renovation will be better, should be a decent place to stop in future.

Yes, the new lounge is starting to look very nice; much nicer than what it was and a bit roomier.

On the downside, atm due to the voucher arrangement it adds for some unecessary exercise just to get a beer! :mrgreen:

The old lounge was rather small and became overcrowded quickly. Hopefully any new lounge will be an improvement and they sort out their liquor license. We can't have a Qantas Lounge with no alcohol now can we?
