Hi all
Any suggestions on the best & well priced flights for 6 ppl to Bangkok end of Sep 2012 for a couple off days, then to Changmai for 12 days & return to Perth? Would love to upgrade to bussiness, how-ever prices are out of range from what i can see. Any idea`s or suggestions much appreciated.
Best Regards

If you're going to include both BKK and CNX on the one trip the most economical solution is always going to be to use an airline who's hub is one or the other as you'll be going via there anyway (in this case Thai Airways) and can use it as a stopover, so would check that out.

You may also find a reasonable fare into BKK and out of CNX with Singapore but you'll then have to pay for an additional fare BKK-CNX.

I don't know what the LCC situation is ex PER, I don't tend to book LCC's but may be worth checking out.

I would expect AirAsia would be the cheapest option as they have a big presence in BKK, if you're very price conscious. Otherwise it looks like just over $1000 on SQ/MI or TG.

There are some good business class prices out of Thailand, so you could look at a cheap flight there and business class coming back, eg CNX-BKK-KUL-PER $1631 (TG/MH), BKK-KUL-PER $1478 (MH), BKK-CGK-DPS-PER $968 (GA).

These prices were all from ITA Matrix.

Prob a good idea looking at business on the way back, pretty sure Thai airways do golf sets for free as well.
Also MH are reasonable priced , travel through KL a lot lately. Quite like that flight, 2 x movies & your there.
Keep waiting for a special deal to pop up somewhere:)

Was looking at Air asia, if you get in at the right time it would be worth the money.
There Asia X flights with the sleeper, also there 3 seat offer. The extra for sporting equipement, luggage, meals ect tends to put me off.
If you book through Thai Air for both legs, do you just put a 2 day stopover in you booking? or book through then change?

You just book it and have it ticketed with the stop, if you ticket it straight through there may be a reissue fee when you go to change it.
