Should be in Perth for 2 nights Apr 11 & 12 with Cruiserette - looking for hotel suggestions please?

Best Perth Hotels? Best bang for $ - not really constraine by budget but hate to throw it away at same time.

Hyatt Gold / Hilton Diamond / Priority Club Plat / SPG Silver if that is going to help.

Stayed at Parmelia Hilton several times. Always an upgrade huge room and good buffet for gold/diamond.

Last time in December there was littl 'ol me in a four room (2 br) suite - also reecibed two drink vouchers (there's no executive lounge).

Posted on a wing and a prayer ...

I would probably lean toward the Intercontinental Burswood* (if you can get a reasonable price circa $250-300) or the Holiday Inn Burswood which is 200m away. That way you're close to the Casino, Theatre (Ticketek Australia) and some very VERY good eateries. Such as Rockpool, Nobu and Modo Mio. Check this out Burswood Entertainment Complex

Anyways for a couple of nights that would be my choice :)

* Disclaimer - I know they were changing to Crown but unaware if this has happened 'officially'.

Woah there ... I just checked the rates and $400+ for each night - although it is available for a HHonors rewards at 40,000 HHonors points or 20,000 points+$69 per night.

Really depends what you want/need/plan to do while there. With your HH status I'd second the suggestion of the Hilton - you will get a good upgrade and be in a good city location - but that price is outrageous. Unfortunately the $400 plus per night tariff is all too common for Perth.

I stayed at the Intercontinental (& was still Intercontinental) Burswood a few weeks ago. Had a spa room - nice and large, pool area was great, you can go for nice walks along the river. Basically designed to be a self contained resort and is connected to the casino.

The Hyatt has the best pool of the city hotels- used to be my favourite but haven't stayed there for years now. You could think about Freo as an alternative perhaps?

Perth hotel occupancy is running at 98%. There appears to be a fair shortage of accommodation, particularly during the week.

I would not pay anything like $400 a night for a standard or even mid-range room at the Parmelia. It is a nice hotel and well maintained but is very dated.

I would suggest the Hyatt. Depending on availability they have an excellent $99 F&B promo where for as little as $230 for a king room you also get $99 to spend on food and beverage throughout the hotel (mini bar, restaurants, room service etc.).

If you can get a decent rate then I would stump for the Duxton. The exec lounge on the top floor is a stunner at sunset and

Have stayed in recent times at the Parmelia Hilton (fine, room upgrade, though I only got one free drink voucher :() and the Pan-Pacific (formerly Sheraton?), which is a bit further down St George's Terrace, but quite OK also, and probably better priced. As stated above, limited availability does seem to keep prices high.

I stayed at the Novotel - got a free upgrade to a corner spa room w my Accor "status." I liked this hotel because of the easy access to free parking overnight/Sunday otherwise.

Actually stumped up in Duxton now - booked Club Level room - $500+/night - and then they want $19 for 24hrs internet - downright thievery.

Will be having serious conversation with manager as soon as I can find him. Room pretty good - not outstanding - breakfast really good.

Asked concierge for map of greater Perth so I can plan my day visiting a number of customers - don't have sir - give me a break.

So just been down and tackled Manager - sorry Sir it is hotel policy - OK madam - I am sorry but my new policy is to never stay in your hotel again if you try to get up my skirt like that.

That's where HHonors Gold/Diamond status real bennies are useful.

At $500 for the Duxton, the Parmelia was cheaper - but no exec lounge.
