Going to be strange boarding an aircraft from the rear - are the priority rows at the back? :)

The paint scheme looks very crisp. No doubt one of my CBR-SYD services will be on one of these very soon now, a lot of services have been upgauged to E190s but during the day the load isnt there to justify that much plane.

So, who else thinks the red propellor blades look cool? Still prefer the look of the Dash 8 - but looking good! :D

I don't think they're actually red. I think that's the covers that are over them. Red would be nice though.

At first look i really did think the blades were red!
Oh how I was disappointed to realise they were covers in the larger image:/

I thought they were headed to Skywest only, which is all West-coast-based, other than MEL?

The aircraft are going to be operated by Skywest crews on behalf of Virgin (ie: A wet lease). The bulk of these aircraft are going to be East coast based with only a small number actually operating in WA, if murmurs are correct that is.

Eventually we will probably see the phasing out of the Fokker 50s Skywest has in favour of the ATRs on their own network - possibly with the entire Skywest operation adopting the Virgin Australia brand?

I reckon if you were a pax on the delivery flight with the sectors it would have to do, you would hit Gold in one trip based on the new SC scheme!

Any word on routing? What is the max range?

She only has around 1600km max range with full pax, close to empty it will still mean a long trip!

Not that it's a big issue here in australia but I hope the French have fixed the deicing boots on this plane
