The catch is you have to spend $9000 per MONTH for first 3 months  .....

American Express® Platinum Card

It seems fortune is smiling on you today. For you've found your way to an invitation to the original Platinum Card. Start exploring this site and you'll see it's a Card that defines personal service with its concierge service, and which opens up vast possibilities for travel.
And, right now, it comes with one unprecedented travel advantage – the opportunity to receive $750 in travel vouchers1.
All it takes is for you to apply, be approved, and spend $9000 monthly on your new Card in the first three months.

Once you've done that, you'll automatically be sent a voucher for $750 to spend with Harvey World Travel1. However, you must apply before 30 September 2010.
Of course, there are many other ways the Platinum Card can earn you savings. Travel is just the start.

$9k? If only I could get my wife to show such restraint!

The actual terms and conditions at the bottom of the page say:

1. This offer is only available if you apply via this online form before 30 September 2010, are approved and make purchases on your new Platinum Card to the value of $27,000 within the first 3 months before 15th January 2011.

That's different to $9K per month in each of the first three months.

Still, that is an awful lot of money spent on the card! Maybe need to buy a car with it!

is it applicable if you're already a platinum amex card holder????

I chased Amex up about this today (having exceeded the $27,000 spend in my first three months since joining in August) and they confirmed that I did qualify and that the voucher would be sent to be in the near future. The timing is 6-8 weeks for delivery after the 3 month period expires.
