Hi Folks,
I have had a plat credit card for sometime and have a fair few pts in the membership rewards account. The only drawback I experienced was that I could not transfer to qantas; however since I flew vblue it did not matter.

I have recently been given a green corporate amex and have signed up for a seperate membership rewards account as amex advised that I could not have points posted to the plat rewards account. To add to this, I will be flying a lot more qantas going forward.

Questions I have are:
1. If I upgrade to a plat charge card, will I be able to have a single rewards account. I have heard this may be possible.
2. If the above is possible, would I be able to transfer rewards earned under the plat credit card to qantas?

I am keen to get members feedback if they were / are in a similar situation.

You can not merge points for Corporate and Personal cards. Not with the CC or the Charge.

Mine have been merged since 2000.
Originlly Amex Gold Credit and Corp Green. Have since upgraded to Amex Plat Credit and changed employers twice.

That said last time I shifted it was difficult to get them linked, so they may no longer do it.

In any event not much real benefit in having them linked

You can't transfer any Amex points to Qantas (now) unless you have a Qantas Amex which is a direct sweep card

My experience was from mid-2006 when I changed employers and got a corp Amex card. I posted a thread on this topic back then.

you used to be able to link corporate and personal MR prior to introduction of the 'Spirit' and 'Ascent Premium' tiers...MR T & Cs still state linking is possible (for Ascent) provided your corporate card is not a co-brand (eg qantas) or 'special' (eg non-physical) card.....best to check with Corporate CS.

Ascent premium only came in when QF made the changes about transfers. It might be linked to Spirit but not Ascent Prem.
