Hi, have a friend about to go hiking solo around Spain and southern Europe and thought a PLB could be a good idea. Do the ones sold in Aus work well there or are they country specific? Obviously I've never used one. Any suggestions re brand and capacity welcome.

PLBs are a world wide system, should not be an issue, just make sure it’s registered to the personal details of the traveller. International Cospas-Sarsat Programme - International COSPAS-SARSAT
