I am a gold ff. My date to renew Gold is 5/7/14. At the moment I won't make 400 sc & would drop back to Silver but by 10/7/14 I will go from 880 to 1040 sc.
Will I go from Silver to Platinum? I'm confused.

you should, AFAIK going up a tier isn't based on SC earnings within a review period - its a simple "have you got X number of SC"

Your re-qualify date is based on a fixed 12 month period, based on the date you originally earned that status.

To move up to Platinum, you need to earn 1000 SC's in a 'rolling' 12 month window. So, if you haven't earned the 400 within the fixed window, but earn 1000 within the rolling 12 month period, you will move up to Platinum.

Offer expires: 18 Mar 2025

- Earn up to 100,000 bonus Qantas Points*
- Enjoy an annual $450 Qantas travel credit
- Don't forget the two complimentary Qantas Club lounge invitations and two visits to the Amex Centurion Lounges in Melbourne and Sydney.

Thanks, that is what I thought. It's just seems weird to go from Gold to Silver to Platinum

It's a weird game we play.

If your gold review date is 5 July 2014 (as printed on the front of your card), your gold status is valid for a further 1 month (see the back of your card) so effectively, you retain gold benefits until 5 Aug 2014 and as you say you'll earn 1040 SCs by 10 July 2014, you won't be bumped back to silver. You'll go straight to WP.
