Presumably someone where will know the answer to this - the V Australia website isn't giving me much info...

My partner and I are flying SYD-HKT with a transit stop in BNE at the end of this month. We paid about $1500 ea for the Y+ flights which includes Y+ SYD-BNE-SYD on these sectors.

The VA website tells me that the earn rate of 11,020 points will apply for the BNE-HKT-BNE sectors, but as domestic DJ flights earn points at 5 points per $, how many points do we get for our SYD-BNE and BNE-SYD flights? Is the $1500 fare split between intl and domestic segments for points purposes?

Cheers

My understanding (correct me if I'm wrong), is that the flight to Brisbane will be on a V Australia codeshare.

If it is, then the V Australia earning scheme applies for that sector. [1.25 sc/points per mile + any bonuses for status]

The domestic flights are indeed VA codeshare. Thanks Mal - makes sense that the 1.25 would apply...
