This is probably an elementary question from a new member but I am trying to book business class flights from Brisbane to Singapore using points or points + cash. When I do the search the schedule for the week shows the day I want is 51,300 points + $171 for a particular day for example but on the flight details below it shows it as being 264,900 points for that particular flight so I rang the QFF 'Help line' & after 2hours & 40 mins, yes 2hours & 40 mins a gentleman said that I just needed to click the 264,900 button & the points + cash would come up after hitting the continue button however it came up as 190,000 pts + $3,750 points or something similar but nothing remotely like what was initially displayed being the 51,300 + $171. How do I get this please? I just couldn't ring the 'help line' again.

Welcome to AFF, for the least amount of points you need to find a classic business reward these can be harder to find and it depends on if or how many seats release. Points + Pay are essentially revenue fares with QF using a pre determined cash value per point.

Looks like what you were referring to is in fact one of the Classic Reward flight options via Darwin on Jetstar which does not offer Business class:

Yeah - I see what you mean. The 51,300 in the top banner is a premium economy classic award - but none of the planes on that day have a premium economy cabin (737s connecting to A330s), so it's some sort of error (which you found out when trying to book as it's simply not there).

You can buy business class outright for 68,000 points and cash to covers Qantas' fees and charges.

51,300 points is also the price for the Jetstar route via Darwin, as screenshot by AIRwin above, although it's not available on 13/3. There are no Business class classic rewards available on 13/3.

seems to be some system glitch… the screenshot by airwin is now pricing correctly at 21.5k. And the business class award seats that were there earlier seem to have gone. Now just QF connecting to JQ.

How odd that the option came up when I selected Business class in the search function but it actually can't be booked...

I think they've made the system so overly complicated it doesn't know what it's doing! Some of the 31.5K tickets are 'business' because of the QF connecting sector to SYD, followed by JQ/JK Y/Y to SIN via DRW. The wholly Y/Y is 21.5.
