Hi All,

With the double SC promotion, I'm doing some SC math and was hoping that someone might be able to help...

If you book a Qantas operated and marketed flight (e.g. QF765), via a different frequent flyer program (e.g. Asia Miles) - I'm guessing this doesn't qualify as a Classic Flight Reward from a Points Club perspective and wouldn't attract SCs?

Any insight or experience would be super helpful!

Thanks,
Hut

Just make sure your QFF # is in the booking & the PNR is created during the promotion period (ie 23-28 March).

It's been over 24 hours since I arrived on a Qantas flight booked using AA miles. No sign yet of any status credits.

Booked a Qantas flight using Emirates Skywards miles and got the status credits pretty much during the flight today. Works like Qantas CR bookings, but will be tagged as a travel agent one.

as per my note on the PC/PC+ thread, I was definitely successful with that on SYD - WLG redeemed via Asia-Miles.

I would think it should also work for DSC as the PNR is an Amadeus thing, not a QF thing.

I'm losing hope in getting the SCs. I'm not sure what I've done wrong. While I didn't specifically type in my FF number anywhere, I added the booking reference to my Qantas app and my Qantas FF status appeared on my boarding pass. I feel like I should have typed in my FF number somewhere.

That's what you did wrong. Your QFF needs to be the FF associated with the booking. Can generally be done at rj.com in their manage booking section.

Thanks. I just checked rj.com and my QFF number is showing up under the booking reference. I might submit a missing points claim and see what happens.

I have also occasionally got sc on random reward flights, not operated by QF but with a QF number, and made the assumption it’s just a glitch

I got the SCs, 5 days after travel. Not sure if its because I submitted a points claim or if it was just delayed. Either way, the pattern of earning SCs using non-Qantas points remains intact.
