Hi all,
I am flying PER-SYD-SFO on Sat (9th Jan) and submitted a request for a points upgrade to PE for SYD-SFO (weeks ago).
Seat counter is showing:

B0 C9 D9 I7 J9 K0 L0 M0 N0 Q0 R4 S0 T3 V0 W7 Y0

Am I correct in assuming that as T and W are PE (based on the QF site) that I may a have chance of an upgrade?
The exit rows are still available for purchase so maybe I should grab one of those just in case?

cheers
Bert

R is also a PE code with Qantas.

So in order, that's W7 R4 T3 - so Qantas are still selling up to 7 PE seats.

J9 D9 I7 implies business is rather unsold and Y0 B0 indicates WHY is full (probably) oversold.

Looking at a seat map for this flight, it appear you have a Kangaroo Route configured 744 with the F seats in the nose sold as J. The lower J cabin of 28 Skybeds has 22 of these unallocated. The 32 Seat PE section has 10 seats unallocated.

As for the exit seats, all 4 aisle ones (C/H) are taken, the 4 B/J are free and someone actually has 58A  Personally, I would only go for the aisles if travelling solo.

Please let us know how you get on.

I have sponsored an upgrade from Y-J (with fallback to PE) tomorrow from Aus to LAX.

Seatcounter showing:

J8 C8 D8 I8 W8 R5 T3 Y8 B8 K8 M8 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0

Still waiting for outcome

Hi MelUser,
good luck with that upgrade.
I'll report on mine when I get into SFO (and have found my first pint of Blue Moon)
cheers

You should know by 8pm Perth time Fri night if your upgrade has been successful (although they can (but rarely do) happen later)

Does anyone know at what point the waitlisted segment for the ugprade should show on check my trip dot com?

For my sponsored upgrade tomorrow, nothing is showing at the T-22 and 15min mark?

Would this suggest that a number of Y+ pax will be in Skybeds and a number of Y pax will be in Y+ seats?

@bertflyer With a status of QP PS you might be in with a chance but remember you are behind WP and SG...

For the upgrade I am sponsoring, Check my trip has just shown the segment as confirmed from waitlist at T-21hr45mins. Interesting that no waitlist segment showed at any time.

No, the PE 'cabin' is all 'standard' 2x4x2 config.

I would think a J upgrade would be a shoe-in for PS, not as likely with PE (unless quite a few PE PAX upgrade).

Well my upgrade to Y+ was declined at around 9pm last night, however at check in I was given a Y+ seat. Points have now been deducted from my QFF account.
