I'm almost scared to post this in case someone from QF reads it and deducts the points but I got upgraded MEL-PVG on last Friday and they still have not deducted the points from my account.

Both hubby and I put in for points upgrades from Y to J (I'm gold he's silver) and we both got them, very good flight, VERY empty so great service. His account has had the points deducted for his upgrade and mine hasn't! Do you think they have forgotten somehow? Is it likely they will still deduct them or do you think that I've somehow got a "freebie"??

Cheers

Nice if you get to keep them as it happens sometimes.

However I would increase your odds of keeping them by editing your post to remove the day, and route of your flight.....and hopefully before anyone quotes your OP!

No point making it easy on any QF staffer if they happen read your post.

I've had the same success, all-be-it only for a BME-PER... but I'll still take that

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

SSSSHHHHHHH  :D

Lucky you :!:

Congrats :)

As others have said, some more generics rather than specifics might help your cause if Qantas does read these forums * and decides to go looking.

* It's well known that Qantas staff read this and other forums in both an official and unofficial fashion. I'm not aware of any cases where something overtly mentioned is immediately rectified, but have heard anecdotal evidence of issues raised here being followed up within Qantas and some posters becoming known within Qantas. Whether they are petty enough to retrospectively chase up points, no-body really knows.

Really? .

Indeed. I recall one post from one of the well established members here that when they called Qantas once they were asked "So you're X" or words to the effect based on their posts. They'll have to recount their story as I can't find the thread now.
