Platinum is just getting better or the staff are loving the 26 deg in Adelaide, either way lots of love in the air. Sally and Aurthor in the Adelaide lounge couldn't be nicer and more helpfull, keep in mind half the adeliade football team is in the lounge also. Top effort guys, from my good experience this morning on a flight and now this today i am starting to enjoy flying again. lets hope for an upgrade on the way home and my day is done.

Ordered a coffee in the ADL Lounge on Monday and had it brought over to me. It's small and it always seems perpetually hot in there, but they are nice.

I like the VA Adl lounge as well. Seems more intimate and friendly than the much bigger QF QP lounge. Just like the smaller Mel QF Flounge is better than the much bigger QF Syd Flounge.

My favorite VA lounge so far is the Mel lounge, sitting on the raised upper deck, in the high back chairs, next to the glass windows and overlooking the aircraft. Has a really nice feel.

you right, sitting here with all the adelaide crows boys at the same table, actually good blokes. very good environment. Aurthor (manager) couldn't do more to make sure i am comfortable, suggest when in Adel say hello to him. Top bloke and seems to love his job. Chatted for ages when i would have expected him to be talking to all the AFL players. Asked me my thoughts and suggestions re virgin and seemed to be interested.

More than enough of those chairs. The Shiraz, real coffee, cheese and crackers are delicious! Enjoy.

I must say, the Adelaide lounge is quite nice. I'm wondering whether anyone has ever seen it getting crowded? Would it be worthwhile them looking to make it a bit bigger?

I had an 11.35am flight. Am a nervous flyer (still after all these years) and asked at 10.50am if the wine could be brought out 10 mins early so I could down 2 quick glasses before boarding. No probs. They didn't bring the wine out but poured me a glass anyway.
(and yeah, drinking 2 glasses of wine before 11am is pretty desperate I know)

he said they are doing some re modeling in the next 2 weeks. Cant remember if its a full on make over like melb but making changes. Yeah a little bit smaller but never really seen it packed out, was expecting it to be with the AFL boys, then again they fly early afternoon which is good.

I have a soft spot for Adelaide lounge, 2 years ago i was caught out when the telstra cable was cut in tullamarine, think December 2009. sticking hot day 40 deg, was meant to fly home the night prior but couldn't. Anyway the next day i was in the lounge from 5.30am till i could finally get a flight out at around 3.00pm. 400 coffees later, me and some new mates i met were looked after all day, table service etc.

Anyway i still haven't seen the new lounge in Brisbane, cant wait to see the changes.

Would like to add a positive comment regarding the ADL Virgin lounge.

The staff are very friendly and attentive.

The food is surprisingly quite tasty and the guy behind the bar can actually make a decent coffee, unlike any QF lounge I've been in.

Enjoying the benefits of the recent status match. Remind me why I fly QF again?

i agree - i'm not a frequent adelaide lounge visitor, but i was struck by how attentive the f&b staff member was to me when there a few weeks ago. it feels like the bar has been lifted.
