I had a flight today on JQ  BNE-NTL. As most would know NTL is primarily served by DJ and JQ has taken over from QF (although still a few Dash8s NTL-BNE). Flight was booked late so with JQ over $100 cheaper over QF, JQ got my business.

Managed to make my way to the QP to check in, expecting to encounter issues, as I've read on here before, particualry with a seeming lack of IT integration between Qf and JQ. I must say I was pleasantly surprised when everything went smoothly, and the check-in agent at the QP even offered me an ailse seat (my preference) and exit row!! Must say I was certainly surprised, and did enjoy the extra space. Compare this to online check-in for my earlier NTL-BNE flight where I got 28B :( Well Done QF!

I also noticed that under my 'points activity' on my QFF profile, my JQ flights (NTL-BNE vv) both appear, obviously with the no points from my JetSaver light fares. This would seem to contradict others problems with points posting, for eligible classes.

In saying that, QF/JQ seriously need to look at some form of recognition for QFF members who now have no choice but JQ (think OOL, MKY, NTL etc.) who choose to fly JQ over DJ. Perhaps points with no minimum guarantee, or points only to PS/QP and above?

I’m not sure how to explain this other than to say it doesn’t contradict anything and actually just highlights the problem even more. I know Mal had issues with a StarClass flight posting earlier this year, yet his JetSaver Light fare posted fine (as nothing obviously).

Perhaps it’s time for a conspiracy theory of JetStar posting non-earners but not posting earning flights ;)

I think I’d rather minimal SC’s than minimal points, but YMMV.

Not really anything to do with that. It had to do with my flights that were earning being before JQ fixed up their process of informing QF about flights, but my flight that was non-earning being after they fixed up their systems.

So the earning flights were stuck in a strange limbo, yet the non-earning flight was in free flowing happiness.

Fine, I’ll stick with the conspiracy theory :p
