Possible tip for the 2x Credit Card lounge passes when you're Gold/Platinum

During covid my wife and I had our Velocity Gold status renewed and were able to do enough flying to renew my Gold status first as I travel solo more.

We have an AMEX Velocity Platinum card where the points and lounge passes are linked to my account. Now that my wife won't have lounge access on her own from the end of March I had the thought of linking her Velocity number to the card so that she receives the lounge passes on her account and the points then transfer to my account where all the points based booking occur.

Does anyone see any flaw in this logic?

Thanks in advance.

From what I know, FF name and primary account holder name must be the same, so I don't think you could do it. Even if the card is in joint names I don't think that would help, but you could presmably link everything to your wife and use family pooling to access the points.

Cheers. AMEX allowed me to change the FF number so gave them my wifes, so I will see what happen at the end of the month for the points I've earned. My membership year doesn't renew till May so if they can't used my wifes FF number I still have time to change it before they send add the lounge passes. Will report back.
