Hey,

I want to get a LONE4 this year and spread it over a year, believe its cheaper to start and book from Asia as per this site: ($3,339 from Mumbai compared to $4,669 from Perth)
RTW Fares Comparison for LONE4

My plan is take a cheap budget flight from Perth to Asia and then start LONE4 from somewhere cheap in Asia, go around Asia then head to Aus-Perth (go back to work make some money), 4 months later take a flight PER-SYD then /USA/Europe/Asia-end.

Would like to book as a AA ticket cause want full AA points for the LONE4 plus last time I booked a LONE4 with AA (2006 started SYD-LAX) had no surcharges and very low additional taxes.

However in order to book as an AA ticket, I need to start with an AA flight but as I want to start from Asia means no chance as AA doesn't fly in Asia?

AA does fly to/from China (PEK, PVG) and Japan (NRT, HND) ... but that does not help you much.

There are several threads on booking from the sub continent on the FT oneworld forum.

Consider using the oneworld Explorer itinerary planner to plan and book (Plan & book online - oneworld). I think this may allow you to book and pay at the ex-India price.

Going by the OP, they want to ticket with AA I guess hopeing to reduce Fuel Fines.

To get that to happen when using the on-line tool, they need to first flight to be an AA flight number.
