Got caught in QFF devaluing AA SC earns when they "enhanced" post 30-4-17.

Question is ticket was issued back at the end of 2016 (before any suggestion of "enhancement") so can I request the original AA SCs on the basis I booked per what the earning conditions were at the time?

Some intra-US flights were taken in 2018 that have now halved in SC earn post 30-4-17, so am now short to requalify platinum.

You can only try. You'll need to gather information regarding such SC earn as published at the time of booking to help prove your case.

Can basically book a year out with a return a year later - so essentially gives almost 2 years. System can't handle this so a dummy return date does the trick until the date you're after opens up.
