PP country expansion?

On the Priority Privilege website it seems you can now book hotels in China, Hong Kong, Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand as well as the previous Australia, NZ, Fiji and Vanuatu.

Not every hotel in every country (Thailand is only Phi Phi Island) but it seems an expansion!

(got the bogo rate for Manilla at least but not others..)

Its been that way for sometime (as long as I have been a member) although some places have only had the 10% off etc.

Really? I didn't think I saw them recently. And then noticed Vanuatu come on, adding to Australia, Fiji and NZ. I thought it used to be that way some years ago (and then had Singapore and perhaps others).

Oh well, interesting that you can get some discounts in other countries. I noticed when I was in Manila that there was a different PP program there.

I booked some places in China an Phi Phi 4 years ago, it was not advertised clearly.

So my PP has lapsed and now they want me to renew. I've had 5 phone calls, offering me ever greater vouchers.

Until the IC has a hotel in BNE I'm not interested (as I've explained repeatedly), but they still cold call me to try the hard sell.

Message to IHG:

1. This program is rapidly becoming useless.
2. I HATE being cold-called (at work or home) to try and sell me your useless package. Stop it.
3. Get a decent property in Brisvegas.
