I was wondering why I couldn't seem to get any action out of the PP newsletter links until I tried a different browser. IE just brought up a blank page but Chrome worked fine. I seem to recall earlier this year I had the same problems, so if anyone is struggling with the booking links, try exiting IE and using Chrome. Worked for me, anyway.

Let me tell you what I just found ...

( regarding the CP Hunter Valley offer for Sept. / Oct 13 )

I looked at making a booking via the usual Reservations link on the PP webpage.

Using the the PP Newsletter offer link, it came up as 'No rooms available' ( for the discount )

All the prices were xx_, and seemed a bit pricy, so I booked with points. Then I noticed the 'Advanced Purchase' price for the Sunday of the weekend of the Wine Festival, so I reshuffled my booking to a combined Rewards / Advanced Purchase' booking.

By chance, I was going through the PP Newsletter, and decided to click on the link that is on the main Newsletter Offer page ( describing the CP Hunter Valley offer, with Wine Festival etc. )

The link takes you to a CP booking page, that DOES have vacancies for the Newsletter Offer - which is 25% discount to the regular booking site.

I'm upset, because the cost of the 'actual' Newsletter Offer - for the dates I wanted - is LESS than the value of the Advanced Purchase booking I made !! which I can't cancel ... ( sure, I can cancel the Rewards Night, but I'm thinking, I have already changed this booking twice - don't want to risk 'upsetting' them ... )

How annoying. I also noticed that if you use the link and the date chosen is not available, it drops out the "PP Newletter" rate code if you try changing dates from that rates page. I was looking for CP Surfers and all dates seemed to be gone, until I cottoned on to that fact. When I used the PP link for alternate dates, I found heaps available! Perhaps yours was the same issue.

I rang PP, and they tried to tell me, it's my fault ... for accepting the higher rate !!

Rang CP Hunter Valley, and their staff admended the booking to give me the lower rate. They even indicated I will get a Plat. upgrade to a "villa" on the Sunday night ( as no upgrade rooms available on the busier Sat. night )
