First, thanks for the help for my question on complimentary travel insurance. I rang QBE and was informed that I did qualify for T.I. as I met the 4 requirements, just need to take a copy of the credit card statement and airline ticket with me overseas in case I need to claim or contact them whilst abroad.

I am travelling with 2 other adults on Cathay Pacific later in the year in PE.
Flights are to Sydney-London (LHR) via Hong Kong and Rome-Sydney via Hong Kong.

Flight numbers are 100, 237, 292 and 101 on 777-300ER aircrafts.

We would prefer to sit next to each other, so are there any particular seats that may be 'better' than others.

I am aware that a request is just that with regards to airlines. Never flown PE before.......any suggestions?

Any selection of 2 seats is going to be preferred, and bulkhead is better as (a) no one is reclining into you and (b) after take-off you can put a standard sized rolla-board case on the floor in front of you and have a fully horizontal legrest - makes sleeping much more comfortable.

Have a look at Airline Seat Maps, Flights shopping and Flight information- Best Airplane Seats - SeatGuru to start with. Always handy.

I'm sure others can offer suggestions as well, personally not flown Y+ with CX before.

Yeah - seatguru isn't too bad with its recommendation in this case (for many other aircraft they're getting increasingly inaccurate).

Thanks, yes I will take a look at that, this is my first flight with CX!!!

You can go straight to manage my booking on CX and select seats. Seatguru is of little assistance here except to confirm the bulkhead seats. Get in quick as those seats will go.

CX premium is an ok product. The seat is comfortable, the main meal service has the main dish from business class. The winning element is the IFE. Top notch.

Have just had a look on seat guru, there are 2 versions of the aircraft types, seating configurations vary a little, but may try for 2 seats + 1 bulkhead seat in a row of 4.

I noticed 1 seat map has no baby capsules, the other has these allocated at the front bulkhead row of 4 and right hand side.

Is the non allocation of baby capsules common? I'm a little surprised......pleasantly!

Apologies - I missed that there are three of you travelling. Yeah - if you can bear to sit apart, a 2+1 would be the way to go.

This is one area where seat guru doesn't give all the details. On the 77G (three class, with no first class) the bassinet seats are row 30AC and HK (although only one of each of those seats is the actual bassinet allocated seat - not sure which one). On the 77H (4 class) the bassinet is 32 H or K. It should be clear on the CX seat maps in manage booking (ie blocked).
