A couple of us were canvassing the idea of having an AFF Pride March gathering next Sunday at my place (the march literally goes by my door) in St Kilda. Anyone up for it? Post or PM :)

Are the Qaintass Marching Boys marching?:)

I understand Miss Candee is going to do a flyover - most of the A380s are still grounded! (Melbourne joke - don't ask!)

Sounds like fun! I'd be up for it! :)

I would, but my flights aren’t booked until 9 days later… so I’ll have to rely on pics… or it didn’t happen :p

Could be a good way to spend a Sunday so I may come along too (shame it wasn't last year, I just moved out of St Kilda back into the CBD, but i'll assume you're near a tram line so that's all good!).

I just had a quick look and couldn't find any cheap deals SYD-MEL-SYD on Tiger, otherwise I would have jumped on Jetstar's price beat again and turned up to the March via the SYD F Lounge ;)

Can we involve an F lounge visit?

I can see jq30 Friday, jq35 Saturday, tram56 Sunday, rehab Monday...

Actually I was just reminded that I had already made plans and promises for the march - involving people crashing the night before no less! Sorry... :(

So that means the Sunday is off? I was just making plans for a quick jaunt to BNE for various reasons so may stay the Saturday night as well if this is a no-go...

And munitalP, you're evil (to my credit card) :)

I'd still be up for meeting for a drink somewhere in St Kilda, just not my place which I think will be resembling a doss house.

Since when did we ever need an excuse for a drink?????

You make a very valid point!

I'd suggest my place, but it's a) not that big and b) has no views of anything :D

Any day ending in 'y' ;)

OK Drinks somewhere with people. That works for me too.

Me and the BF will be down this weekend to MEL this weekend... Didnt even know it is on... is anything happening then?

I know I started it, but I am the world's worst organiser.

I would make a super-duper effort to meet any AFFers if someone suggests a spot and time though. :)

(2 Doors Down or Elephant & Wheelbarrow are right at the gathering point - gathering from 12:00, march starts at 2:00. Or of course there is the quintessential Prince of Wales a bit further down, which I reckon will be pretty packed)

Or if anyone wants to totally skip St Kilda, I may be in a position to offer my place for drinks. It's not "Pride March" location, but hey, it's still an excuse to come drink (with a/c if it's a hot one).

hmmm... could be an option for me later in the evening!
