Flew into Sydney T3 domestic this morning and had some important documents to print after getting off my flight.

Quickly jumped into the Qantas Club and searched for a computer with a printer. Couldn't see any.

Walked to the Business Lounge, explained I'd just flown in and needed to print some stuff and was welcomed in.

Again I walked around and didn't see any printers - except for one next to the Apple computers. The Apple computers can print to that printer - so I got my printing done.

Was I just blind, or are printers becoming rare or extinct in Qantas Clubs?

In the Sydney T3 domestic Qantas Club, there is a printer opposite the row of PCs that are across the lounge from the exit door. Look for the "Fuji Xerox Document Centre 186" printer/fax/copier. At the far end of the lounge (in the direction of the Business Lounge) there are another 4 PCs, also with a printer, this time a "Fuji Xerox DocuCentre 1055" (which is where I am at the moment).

As well as Sydney T3, there are certainly printers in the Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra and Adelaide Qantas Clubs that I have used recently. Adelaide Qantas Club is great, each PC has a printer next to it.

From memory there is one printer, all desktops print to this one, in the SYD T3 Qantas Lounge to the right of the desktops with the kitchen on the left and the service desk on the right.

Unless it has been taken away there should also be a printer at the head of the desktops opposite the Apple computers.

Being able to print in a domestic Qantas Lounge can be hit and miss on some days.

Totally agree. It's very handy when you've got some quick printing to do before the flights.

That is, provided you don't have to service the printer first.

I've had plenty of luck with the larger units at most other QPs, but often with the little Lexmarks of the ADL QP they are often low on toner (or need of a shake-up), jammed paper or out of paper. Also, there are enough idiots using the facilities who unscrupulously unplug the network cable from the rear of the system and fail to replace it for the next user.
