Currently Platinum and flying from Invercargill to Auckland on NZ flight number, then Sydney with QF flight number, on one ticket/booking reference. Decided to book the NZ flight number on the domestic leg as the QF code share was $200 more.

Three questions.

1) Does the luggage get through checked to Sydney if not on QF number for domestic first leg.

2) Do I get priority luggage - does Invercargill check in staff even have QF priority luggage tags to identify it when it arrives in Auckland.

3) Is it better to just ask to tag the bag to Auckland and re-check it in again for the Sydney leg - is this even possible after the first leg is flown?

Hope this makes sense. TIA
